Die Polizei Bremerhaven hat einen ihrer Polizeihund-Anwärter abgeben müssen – aus einem ungewöhnlichen Grund. Balou ist einfach zu lieb!

Balou ist ein echter Kraftprotz – doch es hat nicht gereicht

Über ein Jahr lang durchlief Balou hartes Training und haufenweise Übungen. Schließlich sollte er mal ein ganz Großer werden! Und siehe da: Der Rottweiler wuchs vom Welpen zu einem echten Kraftprotz heran. Trotzdem ist der Traum von der langen Karriere als Polizei-Wauwau jetzt geplatzt. Der Rottweiler ist nämlich durch seine Prüfung gerasselt. Er sei einfach zu lieb für einen Schutzhund, sagte ein Polizeisprecher am Dienstag, “ein richtiger Familienhund.”

Hundeführer stimmt Abschied traurig

Seinem Ausbilder ist der Abschied laut Polizei sehr schwer gefallen – schließlich war Balou schon seit über einem Jahr an seiner Seite, zu Hause und im Job. Trotzdem sei es das Vernünftigste gewesen, Balou jetzt abzugeben. “Ich hätte dem Bewegungs- und Beschäftigungsbedürfnis von Balou nicht gerecht werden können, da ich einen anderen Diensthund führen und mit diesem täglich meinen Dienst verrichten muss”, sagte Balous altes Herrchen. Jetzt kann der Rottweiler sich bei seiner neuen Familie auf ein Leben ganz ohne harte Ausbildung und Uniform freuen: Für Balou wurde zum Glück schnell ein liebevolles Zuhause gefunden.
